Disability Support Workforce Issues - Strategic Workshop

Tuesday 12 April 2005, 9.00am-5.00pm, Wellington

The purpose of this workshop was to give effect to recommendation 3.1 of Future Directions (2003, PDF,361 kB), HWAC's third report to the Minister, that the Ministry of Health in conjunction with HWAC and the Office for Disability Issues facilitate a workshop or series of workshops to progress disability support workforce issues.

The goal of the workshop was to agree the scope and character of the support workforce, with a sense of boundaries that may or may not exist between its many components, and agree an approach to the relationship between the health and disability sectors.
