Healthy Working Environments Report Launch

HWAC launched its report to the Minister on best practice for health working environments on World Health Day 2006. This day is the World Health Organisation's flagship event. This year's theme is 'Working together for health' highlighting the challenging and often inspiring work carried out by health care workers.
HWAC's report reflects the importance of a healthy working environment for staff including six core principles:
- Organisational Culture
- Leadership and Decision-Making
- Change Management
- Information and Knowledge-Sharing
- Career Development
- Employee Recognition
Professor James Buchan from Queen Margaret College, Edinburgh Scotland will be the keynote speaker and talk on both Global Retention Strategies and A Global Overview of Healthy Workplace Environments.
